After Breitling invented B01 in 2009, it keeps rolling our novelties fitting its own movement, such as B02, B04 (dual time), B05 (world time and chronograph) and B06 and takes aviation and car as the theme to roll out new watches. And today, what we have here is a Breitling B05 Chronomat GMT with B05 movement.
The first impression that Breitling B05 Chronomat GMT left on me is that this is a casual watch with a little bit sport spirit. With the world map from the Unitime watch which was launched in 1960, it gives us a refreshing feel. Now we turn to its side profile. It is not that thick as we imagine, and has the same thickness as many other chronograph watches. The case back is not see-through and some rilievo patterns can be seen on it. Another mark of 100 meters water resist is also visible.
Bracelet is the Breitling’s own strap, also call Millan strap. It is made of steel but very smooth and, of course, contributes something to the weight. The double clasps is easy to connect to each other and can do it with a single hand. The whole appearance is quite charming and attractive. The simple dial, special bracelet and blue world map, all those elements together gives us a fresh feeling. Comparing to other Breitling complication watches, the thickness is what the features about.
After an overall understanding of it, now let’s feel how it feels. As we said, the steel bracelet contributes weight, so it might feel a little bit heavier but not so thick as we describe. Visual difference. It is easy and convenient to operate on it, and sure, it is better to adjust the time zone after taking it off your hand. Chronograph button is good as well.
